Cris Arzate is the Program Director of the Bring IT Home California project, funded by the California Emerging Technologies Fund. The Bring IT Home California and the 21st Century Communities projects are funded in part by the California Emerging Technology Fund (CETF). Over three years One Economy, in conjunction with CETF, will cultivate collaborative and sustainable digital inclusion programs in nine underserved urban and rural areas throughout California.
Over the past decade, Cris Arzate established an expertise in community development through an array of professional experience in the public sector. Ranging from finance and workforce development, Mr. Arzate has directed numerous collaborative programs within the non-profit, K-12 and higher education sectors. Cris is the founder of TWELVECO, a community development consultancy that provides professional services to the small business, nonprofit and higher education sectors. Mr. Arzate received his Bachelor of Arts from U.C. Berkeley, is an alumni of the Coro Foundation Fellowship in Public Affairs and the Management Development Program at Harvard University. Appointed by California State Senate Pro Tem, Mr. Arzate is a board member of the Structural Pest Control Board under the California Department of Consumer Affairs. His dedication to public education and civic engagement earned him an appointment by the President of the Board of Education for the Los Angeles Unified School District to the Human Relations, Diversity, and Equity Council where he serves as Interim Chair. In his spare time, Cris enjoys fishing and golfing with family and friends.
